What a fabulous day we had down at Ward Beach, where volunteers came together to plant 250 new native trees. These new plantings will help fill the gaps and extend the area we planted last year, adding to the growing restoration of this special stretch of coastline.
It was especially rewarding to see how well last year’s trees have survived. Despite the harsh coastal conditions and the recent floods, most of the young plants are thriving, a promising sign for the future of this restoration project.
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us on the day, especially those new faces! Each tree in the ground represents another step towards a more resilient and flourishing coastal ecosystem.
